These are six strategies to help you generate more revenue for your business.
I’ve been selling homes throughout the Central Florida area for over 20 years. In that time, I’ve learned that a strong work ethic and a willingness to expand my knowledge of changes in the market have allowed me to become a top agent. My team and I have sold over 2,000 homes! Today I want to give back to the industry and share some of what I’ve learned over my career regarding the best revenue-generating activities an agent can do:
1. Referrals. Are you reaching out to past clients to check in with them? Do you host client-appreciation events for them? There are a lot of things you can do to get in touch with your sphere of influence, which will help you generate referrals.
2. Open houses. Open houses are great face-to-face opportunities for generating business. People will see your personality and how you’ll work with them. Open houses are also a way to build trust. These events are still massively successful for real estate agents looking to create new business.
3. Cold calling. Cold calling can be a myriad of things, including circle prospecting FSBOs, reaching out to expired listings, and calling past clients to check in with them. It’s just about following up with your database to stay top of mind.

4. Farming. You can farm in a certain community or even a specific condo complex. Within that community, you can host events, drop off mailer materials, and much more.
5. Door knocking. Recently, an agent on our team went door-knocking in the community and got three new listing opportunities. It’s a great idea to get out there and talk to people about who is planning to buy or sell a home.
6. Hard print mailers. In the past, we’ve sent our yearly calendars, absentee owner mailers, FSBO announcements, foreclosure mailers, and a wide range of other printed materials. Be sure to pick a strategy and stick with it, though. Your mail campaigns need to be repetitive and consistent.
